Kevin is a native of Ashland, OR, a 26-year Navy veteran and now makes his home in Mount Vernon.  He is a 2008 graduate of Duquesne University with a Graduate Degree in Leadership and Business Ethics, as well as a U.S. Naval Academy graduate.  While Kevin spent most of his Naval career as an aviator in the Pacific Northwest, he also endured three years at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, where he briefed the Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff weekly, and spent some time in the West Wing of the White House with the President’s National Security Advisor advising on African operations.  Kevin finished his Naval career as the Chief of Staff of a Carrier Strike Group stationed in Everett, WA, where he led 6,500 personnel in deployed combat operations.

Kevin is now the Chief Strategist and President of Wardroom Success Strategies. The Wardroom onboard a Navy vessel is the private room for higher-ranking officers, a place where those in management positions gather to rest, take meals, and discuss matters. In the Wardroom, leadership is nurtured and camaraderie grows. Founded by Kevin, Wardroom Success Strategies offers professional organizations The Wardroom Experience through methodologies that foster leadership, build teams, and deliver stronger professional cultures. Kevin shares his leadership knowledge as an executive coach and college associate faculty of leadership and business management, and has facilitated the training of hundreds of leaders in business, nonprofit and government organizations. A 2014 graduate of Leadership Skagit, Kevin also served as a facilitator for 5 years. Kevin is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, Success Signals Communication Style trainer and DiSC trainer.

Kevin lives on a 20-acre farm in Mount Vernon (Lazy Squirrel Nut Farm). He and his wife have two sons who both live and work locally.
