Interpersonal Communication

I became a full-time faculty member of Skagit Valley College in Oak Harbor beginning in the fall of 2008 and retired from full-time work in June 2018. I now teach part time for SVC. Currently I am teaching Interpersonal Communication online.

Originally from Fresno, California, I was an adjunct instructor with the State Center Community College District in Fresno for nine years. I have also taught for California State University, Fresno, and West Hills College in Lemoore, California. In 2007 I obtained my online teaching certification and began teaching online classes for Columbia College, MO. My teaching experience includes Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Public Speaking, Small Group Communication, Understanding Human Communication, and Work Experience classes. During my graduate studies my passion for learning lead me to Japan (1998-1999) where I taught English conversation and experienced firsthand the lessons I had been studying in intercultural communication.

I am delighted to teach Interpersonal Communication and enjoy sharing with others this fascinating subject that has taken me on a journey of personal growth and evolvement. I believe we are here to learn from each other and gain personal growth.
