Jacob Galfano is an associate faculty in his third year teachng social studies in the Basic Education for Adults program at Skagit Valley College. He co-founded the campus affinity group Staff, Teachers, and Administrators against Racism (STAAR), co-facilitates the Inquiry for Liberatory Practices learning community, and hopes to teach in the K12 system to help meet the multi-ethnic and multi-lingual needs of all students in so-called Washington state. Remote Instruction Information

All of my courses are asynchronous; you do not have to show up for class at a specific time or on a specific day with the exception of some optional Zoom sessions whose dates and times are determined by your availability. Course activities do not have deadlines but for pacing purposes most are set as being due on Sunday evenings. All course materials are provided electronically; there is no required textbook. You will, however, need a device to successfully complete these courses; a laptop or desktop computer is optimal as not all of the activities are smart-phone-friendly.
