Fall Quarter 2014

Welcome to Skagit Valley College!  I hope you had a relaxing summer and are ready for new adventures for Fall.  I had some fun times this summer visiting with family, hiking, boating, swimming, and unfortunately lots of painting and wood stacking.  The picture above is of Mt. Challenger in the the North Cascades National Park.  I did a six day backpacking trip there with my sister Karla hiking 55 miles.  We had to hike out of our camp at Tapto Lakes at midnight because we were tired of the wind blowing the tent poles into our heads.  It was a beautiful moonlit trek.

I'm looking forward to working with you and your mathematics questions this quarter. I'm available to help students this quarter when my office door is open. Please drop in and bring your questions.  Don't be a stranger.  I want to help you to be successful in mathematics and in your career and life goals.
